The Dickinsonian observed Dickinson's 90th Birthday by reprinting old pictures and articles, trying to capture the history of Dickinson as it related to the students of the '60s. One of the reprinted editorials was an article from May 22, 1926 that discussed "Blue Laws for Metzger." The article's author expressed distaste for the strict regulations imposed upon co-eds living in Metzger Hall, writing "What misdemeanors have the Metzgerites committed that they should have such rigid regulations placed on them such as no swimming, no canoeing, no long walks, no automobiling without a chaperone, no picnicking on Sundays?"
