Date
December, 1884
The "Miscellany" section of the December issue of the 1884 Dickinson includes a letter to the editor about the "petty prejudices" towards the co-eds. by the male members of the Sophomore class. The paper recommends that these negative actions detract from the class's former reputation. A "good precedent" was set by the Freshman class, by not only "admitting ladies into its organization" but also by even "entrusting to them some of its responsible offices." The article makes a final warning to the Sophomore class to comply with the regulations provided by the college now that is a co-educational institution, instead of trying to fight it.
