Distributed to faculty and trustees on December 15, 1945, "Suggestions Considered Requisite by the Students of Dickinson College for the Improvement of the College" calls for the appointment of a new dean of women. The document cites the numerous occasions on which the dean "defamed the character of the women students" by ridiculing them and calling into question their moral judgement. The document claims that the Dean of Women called Roberta Saseen a barbarian after she finished a meal at Metzger Hall and told Margery Keiner that her parents "had done a poor job of raising her." According to the document, the dean summoned alumna Irene Yeager to her office during her visit and told her that her sister, Peggy Yeager, spent too much time in the company of an unsuitable escort, John Hamilton. The dean also lectured Nancy Schnelli on moral conduct before she attended an out-of-town dance with her fiance.
